Behind the Headline “Le Boycott du SDF inquiète la France.”
Editorial
Why should France be worried about the boycott of a contrived commemoration in a banana republic by a diminished opposition party? Or why should a major news organisation in Yaoundé report on this real or imagined chagrin by France as front page news?
The cover of La Nouvelle Expression, a French language daily based in the Camerounese capital about France’s “worry” that the “Social Democratic Front (SDF) of la République du Cameroun” has called for the boycott of the so-called National Day parade in Yaounde reveals the very sensitive nerves of any perceived threat to France’s continuous loot in the British Southern Cameroons’ Eldorado that is under the guard of the Paris-installed Yaoundé regime.
La Nouvelle Expression’s cover is a subconscious expression of the fear and insecurity that stalks the Franco-Camerounese elite in Yaounde vis-à-vis the British Southern Cameroons. After all, the SDF is still considered, in the parlance of the Franco-Camerounese, an “anglophone party.”
The Southern Cameroons National Conference’s (SCNC) reaction by a Press Release to the SDF announcement dated May 11, 2009, was dripping with “ingratitude” for the “anglophone party”:
“The SDF call for Zero 20th May Celebration and the reasons advanced are good but not enough. Why? It is singing the same old distasteful and heart aching sung (sic) and dancing one step forward and two backwards. This gives Yaoundé cause for laughter, wining and dining for having successfully soaked the wings of the SDF that dazed the CPDM between 1990 and 1992 and has now caged it.
Enough of deceiving our people that through party politics and the ballot box change can come to our people. Paris in keeping with supreme imperial interest has decreed, “No English man (Anglophone) can rule a French Province”. And la République du Cameroun is a French Province. But British Southern Cameroons is not part of la français Camerounaise. Southern Cameroonians belong here and not there. This leads me to reaffirm and reiterate the irrevocable stand of the SCNC to restore the statehood and sovereign independence of British Southern Cameroons.”
With the formation of the British Southern Cameroons Interim Government-in-exile in September of 2003, there was an intellectual strategic shift in defining the real enemy of the people of the British Southern Cameroons, the real beneficiaries of the colonial dominion that had befallen the people of this once democratic nation in West Africa. That enemy is France.
However, the exposing of France as the evil force behind the institutionalized corruption, tyranny, looting, poverty, misery and humiliation of the peoples of the British Southern Cameroons and République du Cameroun was initiated by the Social Democratic Front (SDF) and crystallized during the 1991-1992 campaign to boycott French businesses and its goods and services in the British Southern Cameroons and la République du Cameroun.
The SDF, conceived and launched exclusively by natives and nationals of the British Southern Cameroons had as their ultimate goal a return to the terms of the union between la République du Cameroun and the Southern Cameroons of creating a federation of two states of equal status in 1961. It was created as an instrument of self-determination for the former United Nations Trust Territory of the Southern Cameroons under United Kingdom Administration and her inhabitants. It was a national liberation front that lost its way.
The SDF’s position provoked France’s morbid fear of the “anglosaxon” as she predictably succumbed to the fever of the Fashoda Syndrome and set out to brutalize the SDF and its largely British Southern Cameroonian leadership along with its inhabitants that provided the party its initial national and international thrust.
Where French-sponsored brutality failed, seduction by corruption for which the French patent in Africa is second to none, did the job in diminishing the SDF to what it is today. But apparently not enough not to warrant a headline like “Le Boycott du SDF inquiète la France.”
We believe French interests, concerned with the incompetence of their long-serving puppet, Paul Biya, are getting angsty that their quiet loot in the British Southern Cameroons is jeopardized when ever the specter of their colonial enterprise in the territory is raised.

Sir,
I am anxiously waiting the Freedom Day of the Southern Cameroons.
Sir,”Why can you not create a Liberation Radio for the Southern Cameroons whereby the Liberation Ideology is preached to all Southern Cameroonians in English,Pidgin and the languages that the Southern Cameroonians speak”.
When I was in Nigeria in the days of Sani Abacha, when Mrs Abiola Kuderat died, A satellite Liberation Radio called “Radio Kuderat”was launched and it helped in liberating Nigeria from the Oppressive Regime of Gen.Sani Abacha.
Please, contact Pro.Wonye Sowenka and he will help you.
Thanks.
