January 11, 2008 will go down in the annals of the thirteen villages of Boa Plain as a historic date when the Boa Plain Oil Palm Project was launched by the General Manager of the Cameroon Development Corporation (CDC), Chief Henry Njalla Quan. It was such a grand occasion, that the Senior Divisional Officer for Ndian christened it “a Born-Again economic venture in Bamusso.”
The grand launching ceremony was blessed by the pouring of libations by Chief Alexandre Ivo Eboka, marks the beginning of a new life to the people of that border area as the project will generate some 3000 jobs within the next five years.
